Hi, I’m Shelby Marik! I’m 18 years old and currently play club lacrosse at the University of Minnesota. Prior to Minnesota, I spent a year competing at the NCAA Division II level at Concordia University, St. Paul. Lacrosse has been a major part of my life for the past 9 years, and I’ve competed at every level—from youth and high school lacrosse to club, travel, and collegiate competition. Throughout my playing career, I’ve been fortunate to earn several honors, including being named a Miss Minnesota Lacrosse Finalist and earning GLIAC First Team All-Conference recognition. These experiences have helped me develop not only my skills on the field but also a strong understanding of the game, leadership, teamwork, and the mindset needed to compete at a high level. Beyond playing, I am passionate about growing the game and helping young athletes succeed. I founded East Side Stars, a traveling lacrosse program based in Woodbury, Minnesota, that provides players with opportunities to develop their skills, compete, and build confidence both on and off the field. As a coach and trainer, my goal is to inspire and empower athletes to reach their full potential. Whether your player is looking to improve stick skills, shooting, defensive techniques, conditioning, game IQ, or overall confidence, I provide personalized training tailored to their individual goals and needs. I believe sports can be life-changing, and I am committed to creating a positive, encouraging environment where athletes can grow as players and people.
